Angela Heaton, M.S., CCC-SLP/L, Owner

Angela is a supervising, licensed and accredited Speech Language Pathologist, with 20 years experience providing evaluations, screening, direct therapy and consulting in public and private schools.  She has also worked in the private practice and home health settings for more than 12 years and counting.  Angela has a team of professionals who have established themselves also as lead clinicians using results based and motivational activities to focus on their client's functional needs while enjoying the act of communication.  Exceptional speech therapy is an art - led by science. 

Angela grew up with a brother who has Autism and was intrigued by the alternate ways a brain can grow and learn and loved the perspective her brother gave her.  With him in mind, she pursued a degree in communication sciences. Angela graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Communication in December 1997. She then pursued an additional undergraduate degree from ASU in Communication Disorders.  She continued her learning with a Masters in Science at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  Since that time, Angela has been invested in her clients and becoming certified as a specialized Autism therapy provider, trained in the TEEACH model, Grenspan Floortime, ABA, along with many others.  Angela takes currently researched models and uses a depth of knowledge to help her clients get the result quickly.  Angela also specializes in phonemic awareness, phonological disorders, articulation, feeding, myofascial therapy and expressive/receptive language disorders interventions. She can provide lectures and talks on the study and understanding of communication disorders and contributes to in-service and educational opportunities for others. Angela, herself, continues to be a life-long learner and is a ASHA ACE aware winner in years  2001, 2016  and 2024. 




Meredith Levy MAT, MS, CCC-SLP

Voice Solutions LLC was established in 2005 by Meredith Levy, MAT. MS, CCC-SLP. Meri has always had a passion for voice. She started her career in 1991 after earning her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Arizona when she began providing both group (choir) and individual instruction to adolescent and adult singers. She then earned a Master’s of Art in Teaching with an emphasis in vocal pedagogy from Portland State University in 1997. 

In 2002, Meri earned a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Arizona State University and has been a certified speech language pathologist through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) ever since. During this time Meri has provided voice and stuttering therapy, as both a private clinician and in the public school setting as the voice consultant for a large K-12 public school district.

Meri has trained professional voice users on vocal hygiene and preserving voice quality in the workplace. She has also provided ASHA approved continuing education inservices for Speech Language Pathologists in the area of voice therapy and acted as an ASHA Continuing Education Administrator from 2016-2020.

Meri lives in Phoenix Arizona, where she was raised, with her husband, daughter and two dogs. She's a lifelong ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. Meri sings with the Phoenix Women's Chorus and is currently serving as second soprano section leader.

Suzanne Simko, M.S., CCC-SLP

Suzanne Simko, M.S. CCC-SLP, received her undergraduate degree from Marquette University. She completed her graduate degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Suzanne has worked in a variety of settings including rehabilitation hospitals, public school systems, private practice, telehealth and home health care agencies across the United States.  Suzanne is the mother of twins.  Her son is nonverbal and has autism. He uses a multi-modality communication system including a voice output tablet to communicate.  I have been on "both sides of the table" and know what parents are going through, (both the significance of successes and challenges).  Suzanne specializes in articulation, dysphagia (swallowing) and mentoring graduate students, new SLPs and SLPAs.  She was a presenter at the national convention for Speech-Language Pathology in 2024.

Bevin Barrett, SLPA , 
Administrative Assistant

Bevin Barrett is an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant with over 22 years of service supporting individuals across the lifespan. Having worked in a wide range of settings—including schools, clinics, medical facilities, and private practice—Bevin brings a deep understanding of diverse communication needs and she's known for being a collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered approach, Bevin works closely with speech-language pathologists to deliver effective therapy and help clients build confidence and lasting communication skills.

Stephanie Schmelz,  B.S. Bilingual SLPA, website coordinator

Stephanie Schmelz is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant with over 13 years of experience working with children and families in school, clinic, and in-home settings. She graduated from Arizona State University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science and a minor in Spanish Literature. She began her clinical internship immediately after graduation to complete the required hours for certification.

Stephanie has always had a passion for working with children and helping them learn how to express themselves and communicate with others. She enjoys creating engaging, individualized therapy sessions that support each child’s unique communication needs. She is trained in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and works closely with parents to customize and support AAC systems for their children.

In addition, Stephanie is knowledgeable in baby sign language, which allows her to provide young children with additional ways to communicate and reduce frustration during early language development. She strongly believes that parent education and collaboration are essential to successful therapy outcomes and values building trusting relationships with the families she serves.
